That said, I have yet to have any great success on dating sites, so I don't have any good advice - I think it works for some, and not for others. Good luck :)

I met my husband using the "old fashioned" dating line (back when it was phoneline dating!)...the most ackward tmes were when i knew the perspective date was going to call and we were going to talk on the phone...i got so nervous, even in my own home, just waiting for that phone to ring...then talking with someone whom i've never met...although, i did insist we talk a few times before meeting up...weed out the ones i knew weren't going to work out before commiting to meeting face to face where it might be harder to get away then a simple hang up because of some excuse or another ;) Biggest thing is to be totally HONEST!! Don't try to put a "show" on for anyone....if you are looking for a relationship, serious one, say it!! That way, if there are those who just want flings, they won't respond to your add! Be honest about yoruself, your looks, your size, everything...picture included too...that way, they know what they are getting into and you know those who are responding to your add are knowing what they are getting into to...Thats what i did and found my husband that way! I wish you much luck and you will find that perfect person for you..she is out there :)

I met my husband online at OKCupid. He was the only person I met off that website. And even though he did break up with 4 months after we were together. We got back to together and now going to be married for 2 years this February.
